Someone retweeted a funny tweet and I checked out the person who tweeted it. On their profile I saw a number of tweets that made me smile. Reflexively (it’s sad that it has become a reflex, isn’t it?) I hit follow. Over the next few hours the person kept popping up in my timeline.
So I decided to check out her follow cost and saw this. An all-time average of 55 tweets per day with a recent average of 717 tweets per day!
I think it’s a bit much for me. I may have to relegate this person to a list or else many great tweets would be pushed off my timeline before I get a chance to see them.
Shortly after I tweeted this I got a Yahoo message from my mom.
She told me to be careful about Twitter and not to let it suck my life into it.
I guess this is what I get for putting a twitter feed on my blog. At this point, though, I don’t think she has found my tumblr. Shhh! ;)
2010 Off To Rough Start
Apparently tumblr was so excited that KimsCrackers started following me on tumblr that they sent me two emails to notify me.
2010 has not started well for twitter, tumblr, & formspring. It has definitely not been nice to our 3 social media darlings. So many glitches make me nauseated.
Twitter, Tumblr, & Therapy
My online therapist thinks that Twitter and Tumblr are a means to get the external validation we missed out on as kids.
I just found out that as part of my ongoing Supportive Therapy my Online Therapist has been starring my tweets.
It showed up on my bill.
(need to remember that I now have a tumblr I can use for the 140 plus moments)
