Here is a “posed” shot I took last weekend. My sister was not at all happy about it. But with me asking, and mom “encouraging,” she finally reneged.
She went to the stairs of the library and threw her hat in the air for me. After this shot, I had her jump up in the air and throw her hat up. She even did it with a smile.

She’s taking a year off to do mission work. She hopes to do some teaching in a Spanish speaking country in order to keep practicing her Spanish before going on to medical school here at LLU. She already had a couple interviews and they are happy with her application. The Dean of Admissions actually wanted her to put in for early acceptance.
So if all goes as planned, in 5 years I will be able to present a degree of Doctor of Medicine on my little sister (Loma Linda University allows family members who are alumni of the school to present the diplomas — or at least the diploma covers.)
Real proud of the little sister. Obviously.
GPOY-and-your-new-lens (sort of)
The lens I rented for the weekend arrived today! As soon as I get out of the hospital tomorrow I can pack and get ready for my red-eye flight from LAX to O’Hare. My sister is graduating on Sunday (with a double major in Psychology & Spanish) and I’m flying out to Chicago and then driving to Michigan to be there. Had to do some major pulling to get my two days off.
Anyways, I rented this lens for the weekend. Because I can’t afford to spend $2300 on this amazing piece of glass, I had to settle for borrowing… :(

I’ve been going through my picture library and editing photos recently. This is a picture I took of my sister last year and I’m looking for an opinion.

I get the funniest pictures in my head sometimes. I wish you guys could see them.
3 out of 4 of these were taken at South Coast Plaza Mall. It was quite festive there. I guess they try to put you in a good mood so you can spend lots of money. =P
so far, i think my sister has taken better holiday photographs than I. well game on, sister. game on.

This is a picture of my two cousins, sister, and I taken sometime last year (I think it was last year) along with our celebrity matches.
As a kid dad didn’t take me out to the park to throw a football back and forth. We didn’t throw a baseball around either. These were foreign sports to him. Instead, we played table tennis — or ping pong.
My sister had the urge to play today so they pulled out the old table and, after more than a year without playing at all, the two began. This was their warm up before things got more intense.
