GPOY - I’m pointing at you, Monday! (Taken with instagram)
See this thing? It’s almost 3000 pages of medical knowledge. It’s going into my backpack tomorrow. I’m on a month-long elective on the nephrology (kidney) service. There is quite a bit of downtime scattered throughout the day. It has been suggested that I do my share of readings form this textbook. From now on, this will be my ongoing reading project. Hopefully it continues after this month.
I heard of an attending physician who read through this book once during her 3rd and 4th year of medical school. She proceeded to read it through once a year during the three years of her residency.
I hope I have that much discipline. I don’t want to be a good doctor. I want to be a great one.
GPOY with the little cousin. She says she is nervous about her winter formal tomorrow. (Taken with instagram)
It’s a bum-day. A non-SST day. An I don’t want to be awake day… (Taken with instagram)
I look confused, huh? Hopefully the official one looks a little better. My excuse in this one was that I was rushing in order to take this unnoticed. And now I finally have first-hand experience with a “tam.” And no, it isn’t River Tam… (Taken with instagram)
Well this is what I’m going with. They told us to wear a white shirt. So all that was really left to me was the tie. And whether I’m going to shave or not. (Taken with instagram)
Dinner with a residency program tonight. This is considered business casual… Right? (Taken with instagram)
Last one… Another hospital restroom before the start of interviews. (Taken with instagram)
On the road again. Arizona back to California. It was a good visit. (Taken with instagram)
GPOYW - at Dayton International Airport. I survived! It wasn’t as cold as I dreaded, though. I could totally live here. (and I do realize it does get colder than this) (Taken with instagram)
