We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us.
There are dreamers & there are realists in this world. You’d think that the dreamers would find the dreamers & the realists would find the realists. But more often than not, the opposite is true. You see, the dreamers need the realists to keep them from soaring too close to the sun. And the realists, well without the dreamers, they might never get off the ground.

Sadly, for many people, there seems to be an inverse relationship between the grandiosity of their dreams and their age.
It seems that too many dreams die somewhere along the way between childhood and adulthood.
My Dreams Are Trying To Kill Me
For the last two days my alarm has woken me up from a dream in which I am fighting for my life.
Yesterday a viking attacked me and was trying to kill me with his sword. Somehow I managed to get the sword away and cut his head off. My alarm woke me soon after that.
Today I dreamt that I was being “escorted” to the top floor of a skyscraper by a handful of African (not sure which country) men in business suits. As we exited the elevator, they formed a large half-circle around me while one began to attack me. I found myself on the floor where I dodged a couple stomps. I got to my feet and he proceeded to throw a couple more kicks which I was able to deflect. And then I woke up.
Maybe my mind is pissed off about having to wake up at earlier and earlier times. Tomorrow my alarm is going off at 3:30 AM. Maybe it’s a sign that something is going to go down and I need to brush up in the martial arts area of my life.
Either way, my dreams are trying to kill me.
Well so much for “sweet” dreams
I almost had a “sweet” dream. I was pretty close to having a jelly donut in my dream last night.
And by “close,” I mean there was a jelly lizard running around my room; I subsequently caught it with a plastic bag and let it go outside. The lizard had the opacity and consistency of red jello (any one of the pics of red jello at this link applies).
Dreams
Just woke up from a strange dream. It was a pretty convoluted “storyline” that started off with me running away from the “authorities” in some old-time setting. And by old-time setting I mean a couple hundred years ago. At least that’s how it felt because the people who were chasing me were doing so with swords.
Anyhow, the dream ended in a modern day setting where I was at a party. There were movie stars and I was some new person to the “scene.” My manager was worried about me and the press coverage.
Suddenly one of the ladies at the party started flying. But we knew she was on some sort of harness and it was all part of the entertainment. Something went wrong, though, and she slammed into a wall and dropped like a rag doll. I rushed to her side and started assessing the situation.
We didn’t want to mover her.
I believe I managed to intubate her.
It was a blur, and a flurry of action because along the way some good-natured person slipped her a pill while she was unconscious in hopes of helping her. I’m not sure when this happened but it must’ve been while I was otherwise occupied. This pill was causing her airway to close up and the reason I had to intubate her.
I just had to write this up because it seems like dream-me is progressing through my medical education faster than real-me. Which is alright, I suppose. Because at least real-me doesn’t have to run away from armed guards equipped with swords.
