I look confused, huh? Hopefully the official one looks a little better. My excuse in this one was that I was rushing in order to take this unnoticed. And now I finally have first-hand experience with a “tam.” And no, it isn’t River Tam… (Taken with instagram)
Well this is what I’m going with. They told us to wear a white shirt. So all that was really left to me was the tie. And whether I’m going to shave or not. (Taken with instagram)
Last one… Another hospital restroom before the start of interviews. (Taken with instagram)
GPOYW - at Dayton International Airport. I survived! It wasn’t as cold as I dreaded, though. I could totally live here. (and I do realize it does get colder than this) (Taken with instagram)
Current Status: waiting for interview 3/3. 2 down, 1 to go. I’m pretending to use my phone as a mirror. They don’t need to know I’m talking to my peeps in the cloud. (Taken with instagram)
GPOYW - just got out of the shower. It’s 6:06 PM. Shift starts at 7 PM. Off at 3 AM. I’m regretting choosing this schedule because I have to be at simulation lab at 8 AM. I think I’ll be a bit sluggish then. I think it’s worse than the 11 PM - 7 AM shift that a classmate is on. Cause when you get off at 3, you want to get some sleep. And just when it gets good, you have to wake up and go back to campus.
Also, it’s black scrubs night! Of course, I’ll be wearing a white coat over it… so I suppose it’ll reduce the blackness that is my outfit.
GPOYW - at 4:50 AM. Been here since 11 pm. Shift ends at 7 AM. There is a lull in the action here in the ED — which is probably obvious since I have time to do this.
Suited up for an interview. Wish me luck!
GPOYW - Me with my dog a long, long time ago. I miss that dog. (Chow/Lab mix)
GPOYW - Look at the time! It’s 10:37 and I’m already back from clinic (at least the morning part). Got in at 8:00 AM and finished seeing my second (of 2) patient by sometime around 10:10.
Perhaps I will consider Occupational Medicine!
