Now what?
This past week I received an email via the contact form on my blog from a lady who is representing a client. The client is a publisher of “training management software” often used in hospitals and is interested in either advertising on my blog (not my tumblr) or submitting a guest post and paying an editing fee to cover editing, formatting, and posting. The thing is, I don’t...

Sometimes You Just Have To Give Patients a Hard...
Patient: What should I take over the counter?
Me: What are you jumping over the counter for? And why do you need to bring anything?
*Disclaimer: If you are concerned about my professionalism (i.e. you are someone from the Dean's Office) the "patient" was a friend who asked me this question via IM. And no context to the question was given because the question really came out of the blue.

“I do not accept 2nd place for the United States of America.”
– So I saw this post, quote from Obama. Seriously, as a NON- American I ask, what does that even mean? Last time I checked.. we are all human. Equal… but maybe I am wrong? Get a grip. xo (via funnylvngurl) Since I was one of the ones who reblogged this, I will offer my take on it. More than anything,...

“I do not accept 2nd place for the United States of America.”
– President Obama (via carmenlsigman) This was one of my favorite lines from the President tonight. No matter which side of the aisle you fall on, this sentiment is one that I think should fuel our push into this next decade.

10 Strangest Names EVAR! →
Found this link of strange baby names. I think it has 10, but I didn’t count. Here’s one of the names listed: Brfxxccxxmnpcccclllmmnprxvclmnckssqlbb11116 (Pronounced “albin”). In 1991, Elisabeth Hallin and Lasse Diding wanted to protest the naming law of Sweden, which states that the court can diapprove of names that “for some obvious reason are not suitable as a...

WatchWatch
Jon Stewart on Barack Obama’s use of a teleprompter in a 6th grade classroom. When is he going to be given the anchor desk on the Nightly News? Edit: For some reason this video isn’t showing up for me in my dashboard. But it is on my actual tumblr page… Honest.

If you told 5 y/o me...
If you told five year old me that I’d still be walking to class at 8:00 am with a backpack at the age of 25, five year old me would’ve kicked your shin. LOL. That’s funny. I was a good Asian kid. I would’ve karate chopped your thigh.

lindsaylooo: This blackberry storm is the biggest piece of shit ever. I am going back to verizon and shoving it where the sun doesn’t shine. If they don’t give me a better phone, watch for me on the evening news. I feel your pain. I have had a love-hate relationship with my Storm. And mostly a hate. I got mine shortly before the Tour came out. Only since they have released the latest update...

DIAMOND OCEANS POSSIBLE ON URANUS, NEPTUNE →
So the latest news is that there might be oceans of diamonds on Uranus and Neptune. My question now is, what are we doing trying to go to Mars? Let’s get going to Uranus! Well, ok, or Neptune. But making NASA’s mission to put a man on Uranus sounds much cooler, no?

"Good" Morning
When you’re not a morning person, it’s hardly ever a “good” morning. Today, however, it is almost 8 am and I have already been to IHOP and Kinkos already. So I’ve been up for close to three hours. This is in contrast to my normal mornings when I struggle out of bed at 7:15 and manage to get to the classroom just before 8:00 lectures. My theory is that my brain has...

The Rain Is Bringing Out My Paranoia
As a Southern California native I rarely see consecutive days of rain like this. I think the last time I experienced days like this was during the 4 years I lived in Washington (state) for undergrad. But the last time I remember a big storm in the LA area was probably during high school. I remember one day not long after I had started driving. I was driving the family minivan and dad was sitting...

Some Holes Were Never Meant To Be Drilled
Last week I saw a friend carrying a review book. She had taken it to Staples, had the spine removed, and had the book spiral bound. I thought that was brilliant. It would make studying so much easier. Thinking I could do one better, I took our Pharmacology text book and had Kinko’s cut off the spine and drill holes into it so that I could put it in a 3-ring binder. It worked wonderfully....

GPOYW - Celebrity Morph
Ok here is mine Celebrity Morphing thing. Dean Cain was a 57% match, but I thought it’d be cool to morph into TV Superman. I think it doesn’t show up in the dashboard view. You have to actually go to the post to see the flash. MyHeritage: Family trees - Genealogy - Celebrities

Hottest Heads of State
tiffanyjmoore: For your viewing pleasure. Oh, Juan Carlos. You’ll always be #1 in my book. What do Muammar al-Gaddafi, Pope Benedict XVI, and Kim Jong-il have in common? These three round up the bottom on the list of Hottest Heads of State.
